Wiley Dean Smith age 94, died Thursday evening, Jan. 9, 2025 at her Gallatin residence. Born March 17, 1930 in Gainesboro, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Granville Phann and Mary Emiline Lee Phann and was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Edus Smith; son, Larry Steven Smith; sons-in-law, Billy Heady and Roy E. Sisco; half brother, John Louis Phann and half sister, Alta Mae Crain.

She was a homemaker and member of the Harmony Church of Christ.

Wiley Dean is survived by her children, Garry (Peggy) Smith of Gainesboro, Billy (Tammy) Smith of Carthage, Joann Heady of Lebanon and Betty Sisco of Lebanon. 13 Grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and prior to services Friday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment at Peek Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN.
