Velma Jean Sanford age 88 of Watertown died Friday morning, July 11, 2025 at her residence. Born Dec. 13, 1936 in Gallatin, TN. she was the daughter of the late John Edward Cook and Lizzie Velma Cantrell Cook.  She attended Central High School in Nashville and was a homemaker.

Jean is survived by her husband, William Robert Sanford of Watertown; sons, William Lynn Sanford of Nolensville, Charles Wayne Sanford and his wife, Debbie of Mt. Juliet, John Robert Sanford and his wife, Katie of Watertown; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and her sister, Mattie Frances Fambrough of Ashland City.

Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Hunter Memorial Park for graveside services and interment.
