Timothy Daniel “Red” Simerson age 68 of Lebanon, died Thursday evening, Oct. 15, 2026 at Hartsville Health and Rehab Center. Born March 13, 1958 in Portage, WI, he was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Simerson and his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Gene Thornton and a brother, Randal Simerson.

Red is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sherrie Heady Simerson; children, Travis Simerson, Justin Simerson, Jeremy Simerson, Tim (Kristal) Jernigan, Brian Jernigan, Jeremy Browne and Amy (Billy) Pemberton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy (Katie) Jernigan, Dalton Jernigan, Vada, Sarah and Anna Pemberton, Allen Jernigan, and Kelsey Miller; great grandchildren, Timothy “Scoot” Jernigan, Lily Jernigan, Waylon Gwaltney, Jayden and Kinzi Miller.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Smith and Bro. Roger Smith officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. till service time. Pallbearers, Jeremy Browne, Allen Jernigan, Timothy Jernigan, Dalton Jernigan, John Gordon, Blake Meyer. Interment will follow at Hunter Memorial Park.
