Sylvia Rochelle Thorne age 83 of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late James Rochelle and Katherine Purnell Oakley and was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Rochelle. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Thorne; three sons, Gary (Denise), Ricky (Marsha) and Mark (Cindy) Thorne; sister, Terresia Rochelle; brother, Bob (Janice) Rochelle; grandchildren, Eric (Rhonda) Thorne, Traci (John) Pope, Caleb (Jessica) Thorne, Matthew Thorne, Rachel (Evan) Watson, Jamie (Kelly) Olds, Marci Carey and Molly Thorne; great grandchildren, Nathan, Laine, Copeland and Hunter Thorne, Amber (Tatum) Daley, Kennedy and Garrett Pope and Emma Carey. She has many cousins, friends, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. A special thank you goes to her loyal caregiver of 19 months, Joyce Best.  Mrs. Thorne was a devoted Christian, wife and mother. She loved her church where she was a member of West Haven Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9th from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. at West Haven Baptist Church in Lebanon with funeral services at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jonathan Richerson officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Hill Cemetery in Watertown.  Pallbearers, Gary, Ricky, Mark, Eric and Caleb Thorne, and John Pope. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the West Haven Building Fund.
