Sylvia Lane age 68 of LaVergne, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the home of her sister in Watertown. Born June 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Jack Gay and Clio Gay Barrett and was preceded in death by her sisters, Priscilla Fulton and Darlene Flowers. Sylvia retired from the Christie Cookie Co. as a quality control manager.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Sheryl) Lane of Murfreesboro, Mike Lane of LaVergne, Tammy (D.J.) Smotherman of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Lane, Heather Lane, Bailey Howard, Cheyenne Lane and Savannah Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Roger Wade of Fairview, Ralph Wade of Marion, IL, Kelly Gay of LaGuardo, Faye Dodson of Mt. Juliet, Ann Doggett of Westmoreland, Sharon Farmer of Watertown; nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Smotherman officiating. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Saturday, 2-8 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday. Interment will be at Hunter Memorial Park.
