Phillip Odell Goodman age 62 of Smith County, died Wednesday morning, July 3, 2019 at his residence. Born May 13, 1957, he was the son of the late James William Goodman and Betty Marie Cunningham Goodman and was preceded in death by  brothers, Donald, Ronnie and Clark Goodman. His wife, Brenda Lee Bush Goodman died on Oct. 14, 2018 and a daughter, Misty Lee Jones on Jan. 15, 2018. Phillip is survived by his sons, Phillip (Tiffanie) Goodman, Jr. of Carthage, Jerry (Tracy) Goodman of Watertown and Austen Goodman of Lebanon; grandchildren, Christina Blake, Trinity, Desiree and Savannah Goodman, Katie and Jasper Goodman, Kaleigha and Kaden Carter; great granddaughter, Veronica Blake; brother, James Thaxton Goodman; sisters, Lorene Blake, Pansy Goodman, Darlene Johnson; nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Baxter. Funeral services 4 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation Saturday from 2 p.m. till service time.
