Monica Tenley Thompson age 62 of Alexandria died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at her residence. Born Nov. 3, 1953 in Madison, TN, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Nell Rowland Owen. A former Old Hickory barber, Monica was an auctioneer and antique dealer, operating the Little Red Hen Antiques and Auction House in Alexandria. She is survived by her husband, Darryl Thompson of Alexandria; children, Andrew Napper of Memphis, Alice Faulk of Old Hickory, Rebecca Lee Haynes of Alexandria; grandchildren, Hannah Cravens, Brittany Brown, Jesse Reed Napper, Chloe Faulk; sisters, Pamela Owen and Priscilla Ralston both of Murfreesboro. Family and friends will gather from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home for a time of sharing and memories of Monica. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. with Bro. Ron Kline officiating.
