Minnie Joyce Holden, born on March 14, 1941, in Henderson County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, in Flat Rock, North Carolina, at the age of 85.

Throughout her life, Minnie dedicated herself to caring for others, working as a compassionate caregiver for the elderly and a skilled seamstress. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature left a lasting impact on all those she served and loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rowland and Cathyrn Parris, and her devoted husband, David Jay Holden.

Minnie leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her son, Kirk Holden, and his wife Anita of Watertown, Tennessee; her cherished grandchildren, Ethan Holden and his wife Cassie of Watertown, Tennessee, and Mary Mahan and her husband Jess of Cookeville, Tennessee. Minnie was also a proud great-grandmother to Isaac and Lyla Rose Mahan. Her brother Doug Parris and Her sisters, Lois Hatfield and Mildred Hudson, will fondly remember her as well.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Minnie's life and honor her memory. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Shepherd Memorial Park.

Minnie will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
