Melvin Allen George age 59 of Alexandria, died Tuesday morning at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Born Sept. 28, 1956, he was the son of the late Eldon Winfield George and Jessie Lee Williamson George. Melvin is survived by his sisters, Eldon Lee (Robert) Vanatta of Smithville, Janette (Jim) Moss of Alexandria, Gearline Jones of Alexandria; nephews, Randy (Kim) Moss and Greg (Wendy) Moss; niece, Kim (Richard) Young; great nieces and nephews, Ashlee Moss, Whitney Moss, Derek Young, Jada Moss, Allen Moss. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home, visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Pallbearers, Randy and Greg Moss, Richard and Derek Young, Allen Moss, Andy Brelje, Jimmy Dunn, Jeff George, Grady Thomason. Interment at Prosperity Cemetery. Melvin was a member of the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church.
