Melvin Loyd Daniels age 73 of Watertown, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 10, 2022 at Vanderbilt-Wilson Hospital in Lebanon. Born Aug. 16, 1948 in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Roy and Vula Jane Brown Daniels. Melvin was preceded in death by his son, Melvin Loyd Daniels, Jr.; brother, Lonnie Daniels and sisters, Sue Norris and Christine Brewer. He is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Judy Richardson Daniels of Watertown; daughter, Angela (Chris) Sherfield of Watertown; grandchildren, Tamara Sherfield, Anthony Sherfield, Shalena Daniels and Heather Daniels; great grandchildren, Harmony and Sirenity Bogle, Opie King and Azalea Sherfield; stepchildren, Charles, Linda, Jeff and Francis Mayberry; 6 step grandchildren; brother, Floyd Daniels of Statesville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Robinson officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. till service time.
