Lucy Rebecca Shedd age 91 of Lebanon died Thursday evening at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon. Born Feb. 22, 1927 in Franklin, TN, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Ewing Hartley and Francis Rebecca Vaught Hartley. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Augustus Shedd; sons, Charles Edward Shedd and Rufus Augustus Shedd, Jr; granddaughters, Cheryl Cosco and Shelly Szabelski and 9 brothers and sisters. She was involved for many years in apartment maintenance and building management and was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Brenda Grissom and her husband, Ray of Lebanon and Sandra Tanner of Cedar Bluff, AL; grandchildren, Thomas Shedd, Randy Shedd, Carolyn Davenport, Gregory Shedd, Charlotte Igaravidez, Kelly Bishop, Rebecca West, Michele Graham, Michael Grissom, Melissa Kuhlman; many great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Manier of Columbia and Eva Leathers of Rockvale and brother, Johnny Hartley; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Leathers officiating. Visitation will be from 2 till 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, TN.
