Linda Jean Jones age 79 died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024 at her Lebanon residence. She was born July 10, 1945 in Watertown, 1 of 12 children of the late Walter Francis Vantrease and Dessie Mai Wamack Vantrease. She was preceded in death by 10 of her siblings, Mary Lucille Vantrease, Chyrus Jackson Vantrease, Charles Kenneth Vantrease, Doyle Francis Vantrease, David Russell Vantrease, Lillian Florence Vantrease, Audrey Mai Orrand, James Doris Vantrease, Helen Ethelyne Johnson and Gerald Vantrease.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Watertown High School and was a former legal secretary and real estate closing agent.  She was a member of Epiphany Episcopal Church.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Tara Morton and husband, Mark of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Michael Dalton Ogdon and wife, Kennedy, Olivia Rene Morton and Sara Abigail Morton; her sister, Geraldine McAdoo and husband, Steve of Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Linda's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 @ Hunter Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from Noon till service time on Saturday.
