Linda Hamlet age 72 of Watertown, died Sunday evening at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. Born July 31, 1944 in Little Rock, AR, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Pleas Watts and Lucy Frances Maggart Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Andrew Hamlet on Aug. 4, 2008; sister, Mandy Oris and brothers, Peck, Royce and David Watts. Linda is survived by her children, Diane Hamlet of Watertown, Carlos (Tina) Hamlet, Jr. of Statesville and Bobby (Peggy) Hamlet of Watertown; grandchildren, A.J. (Jessica) Hamlet, Cody, Shelby and Wesley Hamlet; great granddaughter, Kayla Rose Hamlet; sisters, Ruth Ashford of Watertown, Ann Ferguson of Statesville and Sue Phann of Kentucky; brothers, Junior and Bud Watts of Woodbury and John Watts of Texas; nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. David Haun officiating. Pallbearers, Carlos and Bobby Hamlet, A.J., Cody and Wesley Hamlet, Ronnie and Tommy Taylor. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. till service time Wednesday. Interment at Wilson Co. Memorial Park.
