Johnny Howard Burks age 79 of Lebanon, died Thursday evening, Oct. 29, 2026 at his residence. Born April 14, 1947 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Howard and Rubye Overstreet Burks and was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Burks.

Johnny was a graduate of Clarkrange High School, Cumberland College and the University of Tennessee. He was a retired electrician with General Motors. Johnny was a 50 yr. member of the Grand Lodge of Indiana, Whitney Lodge 229 F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Craddock Burks; son David Burks and his wife, Shannon;

grandchildren, Riley, Tyler, Isabel and Grace. Johnny is also survived by a brother, Paul Burks and his wife, Debbie; sisters-in-law, Nancy Craddock and Sandra Craddock and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Thomason and Bro. Rick Burns officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and Noon till service time on Monday. Pallbearers, Riley Burks, Tyler Burks, Chad Craddock, Scott Crook, Philip Lea and Seth Major. Interment will follow at Hunter Memorial Park.

Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.
