Jerry David Hardin age 71 of Watertown died Friday afternoon, Sept. 15, 2017 at his residence. Jerry was born June 20, 1946, son of the late Cyril and Laverne Griffin Hardin. He was a 1964 graduate of Watertown High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. Jerry worked in law enforcement in San Diego, CA before returning home to work with the Wilson Co. Sheriff's Dept. He later operated a backhoe service. He is survived by a daughter, Janet (Justin) Cummings of Vista, CA; sons, Jerry David Hardin II of Murfreesboro and Scott David Winchell of Kansas; granddaughters, Jessie Kaylie Cummings and Julianna Bree Cummings and special friend and companion, Lori Braswell of Watertown. Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. David Haun officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. till service time. Pallbearers will be Brian Abbot, Carl Schramm, David Funk, Kenny Clark, J.T. Riley and Mark Waters. Interment will be at the Hardin Family Cemetery.
