Jean Phillips age 90 formerly of the Greenvale Community, died Saturday morning, Sept. 17, 2016 at The Lodge at Natchez Trace in Nashville. Born Sept. 4, 1926 she was the daughter of the late James and Irene Williams Huddleston and was preceded in death by her husband, James T. "Buddy" Phillips and sisters, Erlene Beadle of Norene and Ruth Baird of Medford, OR. Jean was a passionate caregiver, a loving mom and grandmother and a devoted friend. She is survived by her sons, Lynn (Kim) Getsay of Carthage, TX, Tim (Jada) Getsay of Atlanta, GA and Rick (Sara) Getsay of Nashville; grandchildren, Ben (Ashlee) Getsay of San Antonio, TX, Shelby Getsay of Hallsville, TX, Emily Getsay of Atlanta, GA, Hank and Charlie Getsay of Nashville; great granddaughters, Daisy Stewart and Callie Getsay; longtime childhood friend, Lucy Ray Stoner of Greenvale. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 from 1 till 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be at 3 p.m. at the Greenvale Cemetery.
