James Skid Williams of Watertown died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at the age of 70 yrs. He was born Nov. 9, 1946, son of the late Mary Josephine Clancy Williams and James S. Williams and was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Marie Williams. Skid is survived by his daughter, Christa Leigh Williams of Lebanon and sister, Pat Williams of Redondo Beach, CA. He was a 1965 graduate of Watertown High School and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1973. He was an Army combat veteran who proudly served his country in Vietnam in 1968 with the 1st Air Cavalry Division. Skid was an avid runner and his passion to run made him a well known figure in the community. Visitation with friends and family to share memories and celebrate the life of Skid Williams, will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown.
