James William Vann age 70 of Watertown, died Saturday morning, Oct. 20, 2018 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. Born March 16, 1948, he was the son of the late John Lillard Vann and Corinne Inez Hendrixson Vann. James was a 1966 graduate of Watertown High school and a member of the Watertown United Methodist Church. He served as a Medical Corpsman in the US Navy and was a 25 year employee of Nissan. James is survived by his wife, Janice Dockins Vann; son, Andy Vann and his wife, Laurie of Lebanon; daughter, Melissa Chipman and her husband, Parker of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Connor Vann, Walker and Ann Lawson Chipman; sister-in-law, Phyllis Estes. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Gregory and Bro. Carl Russell officiating. Visitation 2-7 p.m. Sunday and prior to services on Monday. Pallbearers, Carl Russell, David Beadle, John T. Jewell, Robert Johnson, Doug Parsley. Interment will be at Neal Cemetery.
