James Henry Brown age 82 of Lebanon, died Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. Born May 11, 1943 in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Charlie Jamison Brown and Cleo Warren Brown. He was preceded in death by his companion of 41 years, Juanita Babbitt in 2004 and by his sisters, Mabel Bowman and Betty Phillips; and brothers, Charles and Richard Brown.

James is survived by his children, Tina (Kenny) Jones, Louie (Tanya)Babbitt, George Babbitt and Betty Fay (Jeff)Brown; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; a brother, Grady Brown and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  He was a long time auto mechanic.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Barrett officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday and prior to services on Tuesday. Pallbearers, John Parsons, Jeffrey Landis, Jr., Ross Boyd, C.J. Heady, Mike Brown and Dale Allen. Interment will follow at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN.
