George Almar Dodson IV age 69 of Watertown died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2019 at his residence. Born March 26, 1949 in Paris KY, he was the son of the late George Almar Dodson III and Frances Beard Dodson and was preceded in death by his brother, Kirk Dodson. George served in the U.S. Army and was employed with  the U.S. Postal Service starting in Old Hickory in 1995 and with the Watertown Post Office from 1997 until his retirement in 2012. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Walker Dodson of Watertown; stepson, Micky McWilliams of Watertown; granddaughter, Larissa; sister-in-law, Cathy Dodson and nephew, Kevin Dodson both of Pennsylvania. George is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Stephenson and her husband, Jamey of Alabama, Linda Dennis of Maryland, Jackie Richvoldsen of Texas; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Phillip Dennis and Rich Richvoldsen. George was a talented craftsman, his amazing skills, knowledge and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of George's life will be announced.
