Carlos Eugene Pryor age 91 of Watertown, died Monday evening, July 1, 2024 at his residence. Gene was born Nov. 20, 1932 in Livingston, TN, the youngest son of William and Nancy White Pryor, he was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and sister.  His wife, Betty Patton Pryor died on Sept. 15, 2019, a son, Stephen Pryor in 2018 and a daughter, Wanda Craig in 2023.  Gene was a veteran of the US Navy and a longtime electrician.

Gene is survived by his children, David Pryor of Lebanon, Janice (Robert) Snider of Rome, Gay (Jerry Paul) Vanatta of Watertown and Amy (Guy) Buckner of Brush Creek; grandchildren, Dr. Aaron (Mandy) Pryor, Andrew (Mindy) Pryor, Danny (Rose) Pryor, Kyle Pryor, Tatha (Charles) McClain, Trina (Clayton) Johnson, Joshua (Susanna) Smallwood, Ashley (Mike) Fulton, Tim (Nicole) Craig, Todd (Jennifer) Craig, Libby (Daniel Kelly) Vanatta, Jeremy (Sarah) Vanatta, Ethan (Giuliani) Vanatta, Amber (Devin) Watts, Hannah (A.J.) Hughes, Chloe Buckner; 28 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Hunter Funeral Home with Dr. Jeremy Vanatta officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from Noon till service time. Pallbearers, Guy Buckner, A.J. Hughes, Devin Watts, William Vanatta, Ashton McClain, Kyle Pryor, Clayton Johnson, Robert Snider. Interment will follow at Hunter Memorial park.
