Ella Rhea Hale age 80 of Alexandria died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at NHC Health Care in Smithville. Born July 20, 1942 in Dekalb County, she was the daughter of the late Abe Jackson Colwell and Clara Summers Colwell. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Hale; and siblings, Willie Abe Colwell, Lynn and Austin Colwell and Shirley Dunn. Ella was a 27 year employee of Toshiba and was later employed at the Watertown Garment Factory.  She is survived by her husband, Tommy Hale; children, Billy Arnold and Gregory Lynn Arnold both of Elmwood and Brenda Robinson of Smithville; grandchildren, Eli Arnold, Ashley Arnold, Terry Lynn Arnold, Elizabeth Blair Arnold and Cassandra Estes; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Roger) Kirby of Cookeville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Hale officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. till service time on Saturday. Pallbearers, Billy and Greg Arnold, Eli Arnold, Terry Arnold Justin Estes, Wesley Garrison. Interment at Jones Hill Cemetery.
