Elizabeth "Libby" Cothern age 77 of Lebanon, died Thursday, May 14, 2026 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Born July 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William P. Sanders and Della Proctor Sanders and was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lynn Cothern and a son, Terry Lynn Cothern II.

Libby was a 1967 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ. She and her husband, Terry enjoyed traveling and visited 42 of 48 states on their Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Libby is survived by sons, Paul Cothern and his wife, Vickie of Gladeville and David Cothern and his wife, Marjorie of Lebanon; grandchildren, Kerri Lynn Cothern (Aaron), Samantha Rene Moran (Brandon), Rachel Dawn Cothern, Zachary Matthew Cothern, Nicholas Tyler Cothern, Breanna Gabrelle Cothern, Isabella Rayne Guerra, Alexandria Hope Guerra; great grandchildren, Kolton and Brantlee Standridge and Mason Edward-James Moran.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. till service time on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.
