Earl Anthony
Stoffel
Oct 16, 1934 — Dec 6, 2023
Watertown
Earl Anthony Stoffel died on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home in Watertown, Tennessee.
Earl was born October 16, 1934 in Northwest Iowa during the depression and great drought years. He attended local Iowa schools and continued his education at DeVry Technical Institute. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour of duty in Europe and assignments in the SAC Command. He retired as an Engineering Technician from Eastman Kodak Company and lived the majority of his life in Colorado. He moved to Tennessee and has resided in Watertown for twenty-four years.
Earl enjoyed nature, which drew him to Colorado and into an early career of snowmobile and jeep tours in the mountains around Breckenridge. He carried his knowledge of farming throughout life, maintaining gardens and immaculate lawns. He loved animals, rescuing and adopting dogs and even a few cats later in life!
Earl's interests were varied, but always included learning and a quest for knowledge. From his studies at DTI and the U.S. Air Force and continued learning at other jobs, his constant desire to learn included some of the first computer programming implemented by Eastman Kodak Company. He was also a self-taught carpenter and wood worker, taking great pride and joy in small and large projects, including many renovating buildings in Watertown.
He is survived by his sisters: Mary (Richard) Roder and Margaret (George) Landgraf; and his brother Robert (Sharon) Stoffel; his wife Lori Pardo-Stoffel; his son Michael (Colette) Stoffel and grandson Alexander Stoffel; his step-son Phillip (Kathryn) Pardo-Cole and family; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Mary Stoffel; his sisters Lois Stoffel and Sister Joan Stoffel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023 at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation from Noon till service time on Sunday.
