Dovie Mae Linear age 79 formerly of Watertown died Wednesday morning at The Palace Nursing Home in Red Boiling Springs. She was born Dec. 23, 1937, daughter of the late Claude and Nora Frances Jennings Lanier and was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Tarpley and brothers, David, James and Hobart Lanier. Dovie is survived by her sister, Nelda Walker of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Lawson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from Noon till service time. Interment at Jennings Cemetery in Statesville.
