Deborah Jane Hillis age 63 of Smithville died Monday afternoon, April 24, 2023 at St. Thomas - Dekalb Hospital. Born Oct. 19, 1959 in Madison, she was the daughter of the late James and Bobbie Denson and was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Denson and brother-in-law, Ricky Hillis. Debbie was a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and was a nurses aide. She is survived by her husband, Ronald W. Hillis; daughters, Brandy O'Guin and Ashley Hillis; grandchildren, Christopher, Jimmy, Hunter, Gracie and Alisa; her sister, Teresa Elliott; brother-in-law, Ray (Reina) Hillis; sisters-in-law, Karen (Dewayne) Thompson and Tammy Hillis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Hunter Funeral Home with Eddie Graves officiating. Visitation is from 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Pallbearers, Dewayne Thompson, D.J. and Nathaniel Thompson, Paul Eakes, Christopher, Jimmy and Hunter O'Guin. Interment at Hunter Memorial Park.
