Clara Lou Dodd age 84 of Watertown, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 12, 2020 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. Clara was born March 26, 1935 in Cannon County, daughter of the late Marshall Elby Murphy and Allie Taylor Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Dodd in 2003; sister, Christine Hale Barnes and brother, Sam R. Murphy. Clara is survived by her children, Dottie Williams of Watertown, Ralph Dodd of Watertown, Wanda (Stephen) Jernigan of Woodbury, Patty Jo (Bobby Joe) Smith of Carthage; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Clara's request was to be cremated and her cremains buried at Jones Hill Cemetery with her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Clara's memory.
