Charles Edward Carothers age 90 of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday morning, Aug. 15, 2026 at The Pavilion in Lebanon, Born Oct. 24, 1935 in Nashville, he was the son of the late Felix Carothers and Jennie B. Wilkerson Carothers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Carothers and sisters, Earline Berry, Bobbie Vaughn and Margaret Thomas.

Charles was a member of the Pipefitters and Plumbers Union Local 572 and retired with 38 years at Nashville Machine Co. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Charles is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Lannom Carothers of Mt. Juliet; his brother, Paul Carothers of Crossville and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 at Hunter Memorial Park in Watertown with Bro. Mike Burns officiating and the eulogy by his brother, Paul Carothers.
