Robert Lamar Kelley, known as "Big Bobby" was born Jan. 27, 1979, son of the late Larry Kelley and Mari Green Kelley Steward and departed this life on Tuesday morning, Jan. 2, 2024 at the age of 44 years. Bobby was an infectious spirit. He shared kindness everywhere he went, touching the lives of many in his all too short time here on earth. He loved the opportunity to go fishing anytime he could. As a graduate of Hunter's Lane High School, a competitive wrestler and basketball player, Bobby excelled at sports. After graduating high school, he attended MTSU for Business Management. He went on to work in the construction industry for many years. Bobby had a huge heart that he shared with all his friends and family. Family and friends were his life! Bobby not only loved everyone dearly, but he also carried a strong Christian faith throughout his life, making sure God was close and seen by those around him. It was this faith that held his hand as he journeyed home to be with his Momma Mari and Larry Kelley and all others that call heaven home. He is survived by his stepfather, Joey Steward; sisters, Anna Grace and Samantha Stone, and brother, Nick Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation from 10 a.m. till service time on Saturday. Interment will be at Jones Hill Cemetery.
