Bettye Sue Blankenship age 86 formerly of Norene, died Thursday morning Nov. 28, 2019 in Russellville, AL. Born Dec. 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Tom Stoner and Mary Viola Tenpenny Stoner and was preceded in death by sisters, Tommie Schlamp and infant Lennie Mai Stoner; infant brother, Obie Knight Stoner and brother-in-law Delbert Graham. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. Bettye is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Hardy and her husband, Stacey of Russellville, AL; a son, Mark David Blankenship and his wife, Marianne of Nolensville; grandchildren, Mallorie (Nathan) Crothers, Katie, Meaghan and Jake Hardy, Matthew (Megan) Blankenship; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Lynda Graham of Milton; brother-in-law, Allen Schlamp of Nashville. Funeral service 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Yates officiating. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Saturday and prior to services Sunday. Interment at Prosperity Cemetery.
